Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being (Organic essential oils used from New Directions Aromatics in Canada).
The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) states, Aromatherapy as “Therapeutic” when used as an application or the medical use of aromatic substances, (essential oils) for a holistic approach, if massage is combined with topical applications and inhalations.
Essential oil has been shown to have various degrees of antimicrobial activity, believed to have Antiviral, Nematocidal & Antifungal effects, in addition to antioxidant properties. Proven to have been used for over 6,000 years around the world, aimed at bettering mood & health for all.
Due to the powerful compounds, it’s important to get an aromatherapy massage with licensed aromatherapist, as they are aware of how to mix, blend and apply.

Smell: Encompasses all our senses, by blending specific oils, the aroma can encourage Respiratory Disinfection, decongestant and psychological benefits, which stimulate the Olfactory System in the brain connecting the Nose, Sinuses, Eyes and Sensory to a new heightened level.
Molecules that enter the nose or mouth pass to the Lungs and from there, flow through the whole body. As the molecules enter the brain, they affect the Limbic System which is linked to our Emotions, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Breathing & Memory.
Prepared oils work closely with reducing our stress hormone (Cortisol) to bring balance and harmony throughout our bodies. It has been proven that topical applications such as Massage creams/oils, bathing or using skin products with pure essential oils that are professionally blended are known to absorb into our bloodstream to boost the body’s immune system and help one holistically heal.
